Hey Rick, I miss you! There hasen't been a day that has gone by where I haven't thought about you, laughed about a memory or cried because of the absence of your presence. Some days I think I may never get through this but then I'm reminded of the fact that I was chosen to still live on this earth and God still has yet to reveal his plan for me. I do look forward to that and I also hold on to the fact that I will see you again. I love you!

I did not know Ricky and I first learned of his death in the hallway of CLS when I was attending "before I say I do" class with my then fiance..now husband. I was saddened at the terrible tragedy and I felt some type of connection with Ricky because not only did he serve our country as I myself did but he was also my age. Thank you Ricky for being brave and defending our country.

Just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you today and spoke your name... I stood a flag line for you with many other patriots and helped escort you to your final resting place.. RIP Ricky.... -matter

Still miss you like crazy. Not a day goes by where we don't talk about you, look at your pictures or view videos of you. Jace and Layla have all your dance moves memorized, it's too cute. You will never be forgotten.

Thank you for the sacrifice you made for our country, for your friends and especially for our family. You have been on my mind all day. I realize that I do not understand all that is going on in the war but there are times that I'm driving with Jace and Layla and appreciate that we do not have to worry about IEDs that took your life because of men like you who fight to keep our county safe. As always you are greatly missed and we talk about you every day, I love you so much. xoxo

Thank you Ricky for going to protect the people you knew and loved and those you didn't. I will never forget you. Your smile and the way you touched my life and my heart. I still can't believe you have been gone this long. I will see you again in heaven
